Top Restaurants Near Brooklyn Park

The Twin Cities area of Minneapolis, St. Paul and its suburbs is a great place to visit if you love to eat. We have some amazing restaurants and chefs in the area that are recognized nationally. We’re lucky to have some wonderful restaurants near the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest for you to enjoy when you’re staying with us!

Here are some of the best places to eat in Brooklyn Park and nearby in Maple Grove, Robbinsdale and Champlin. Everything is 20 minutes or less from the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest – and one is right here at the hotel!

One of Bon Appetit Magazine’s New Restaurants of the Year in 2011 is just 15 minutes away from the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. Travail Kitchen, in downtown Robbinsdale, is a new American Gastropub where the chefs cook and take orders. Simple-sounding dishes are exquisitely crafted thanks to the tricks and tools of molecular gastronomy. But everything is under $14 and Travail offers not-to-be-missed tasting menus. This is a restaurant fit for foodies and people who love great food and atmosphere. It’s also casual and a bit loud so even the kids might like it! They do not take reservations.

Enjoy beautiful scenery while you dine on delicious dishes at the Girvan Grille. This restaurant overlooks the award-winning Edinburgh USA golf course in Brooklyn Park.  Girvan Grille uses fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch sauces, dressings and desserts that make it a neighborhood favorite. Girvan Grille sources fresh fruits and vegetables locally, and fish and seafood from sustainable sources as well. The restaurant is friendly and casual, offers a Happy Hour and kids eat free after 3pm on Sundays.

Travel the short 15 minutes to Maple Grove and enjoy Rodizio Grill at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. This self-proclaimed “America’s *1st* Brazilian Steakhouse” is a fun way to enjoy some great meat dishes. Kids under 2 are free and children ages 3-11 are just $8.99. If you love a good steak, Pittsburgh Blue in Maple Grove is a wonderful restaurant for great food and great drinks. This is a great date night spot if you’re on vacation!

Buona Sera is a cozy neighborhood restaurant and wine bar in Champlin featuring authentic Italian recipes. Enjoy good food, good wine and good company just 20 minutes from the hotel.

Fat Nat’s Eggs in Brooklyn Park 15 minutes away  and is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. Everything is made to order using the freshest ingredients that are cut and prepared each day. Famous for their eggs – the team at Fat Nat’s whips up six kinds of Eggs Benedict, amazing omelets and pancakes, french toast and a delicious Huevos Rancheros. You can also check out Fat Nat’s for lunch and try their sandwiches and big 1/2 pound burgers. They also have a kids’ menu if you’re traveling with little ones.

Sometimes you don’t want to leave the hotel though, right? Wadsworth’s Bar and Grill is a neighborhood favorite for the Brooklyn Park area and it’s right at home at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. Whether it’s for an after work meeting during Happy Hour or dinner, Wadsworth’s has you covered. Our newly renovated restaurant features delicious Minnesota favorites like Wild Rice Soup and Char-Grilled Bacon Wrapped Pork Filet with red flannel hash topped with cranberry-apricot chutney.

Part of our amazing renovation is the addition of the Boundary Waters Cafe – enjoy Caribou Coffee and fresh baked pastries in our atrium. And, don’t forget about room service! Enjoy our in-house specialties in the privacy of your suite. Room service is available from 6:30am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 6:30am to Midnight on Friday and Saturday.
