Fun Things to See and Do in the Twin Cities

The Twin Cities-area is a great place to have fun and explore. When you’re visiting the Twin Cities and staying at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest – we want you to have a wonderful time. Enjoy the Outdoors

At 4,900 acres, Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest of Three Rivers’ parks and is less than 15 minutes from the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. This park features almost every outdoor activity, including the Winter Recreation Area, Eastman Nature Center, miles of hiking and biking trails and swimming pond. Elm Creek is also home to a variety of wildlife such as eagles, sandhill cranes, deer, bluebirds, beavers, loons, Trumpeter Swans and hawks.

Play Golf at Some of the Best Courses in the Midwest

If you love to golf, there are several courses in the area that you’ll want to play. Edinburgh USA and Rush Creek Golf Club are about 15 minutes from the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. They’re some of the best golf courses in the Twin Cities and Minnesota. We are happy to get you set up with a tee time!

Enjoy World-Class Shopping

If you love shopping, the Twin Cities is a great place to visit! Visit the Mall of America and experience the largest shopping mall in the country – complete with Underwater Adventures aquarium, Nickelodeon Universe indoor amusement park, American Girl experience store and more than 520 stores. The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove feature great shopping and restaurants and is within 15 minutes of the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. If you love to find great deals, check out the Albertville Premium Outlets – which are just 25 minutes from the hotel.

Take in a Game

If you love baseball, watch a game at Target Field and see the home of the Minnesota Twins in downtown Minneapolis. If you love soccer, the National Sports Center in Blaine is home to the North American Soccer League team the Minnesota Stars. Visit the Twin Cities during football, basketball or hockey season and see the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, Minnesota Wild or Golden Gophers play.

Visit a Museum

Take the short drive to Minneapolis and check out the Walker Art Center and Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. The Walker is one of the most renowned museums in the Midwest and the outdoor Sculpture

Love science? The Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul features some incredible exhibits and an Omnitheater. It’s a great place for the entire family to enjoy.
